One of the great joys of living in the biggest vineyard on Earth is that you get to try gazillions of wines. And many, many of them are extremely good. One of the other things I adore about living here is the fantastic implanting in Nature that one can't help but feel. We have two dogs, and each day I am lucky enough to be able to cycle them through endless vineyards, past fig, cherry, quince, olive and almond trees. If you've never done it you can't imagine how intoxicating that is in spring.
Whilst helping with a weekly class in English we met the lovely Christa Vogel and Hans Hurlimann who own Domaine Bourdic, just a couple of kilometres from us. In an instant we knew we had met kindred spirits. Their passion for the country around them shines from their eyes and somehow becomes suffused in their fantastic wine.
That's why Ali, Henny and I are delighted to be part of the Deux-Pieds team.
